Sustainable Business

  • Advanced Studies in England Nelson House, 2 Pierrepont Street Bath, England, BA1 1LB United Kingdom (map)

With the world facing major environmental challenges, sustainability is one of the business sector's buzzwords. Consumers are more interested than ever in products and services that align with their values, and businesses are working hard to satisfy this change in consumer demand. Never before has there been more pressure on businesses to rethink their processes and drive their organisations forward in different ways.

But what does it really mean for a business to be ‘sustainable’? Can a circular economy model help, or are other solutions more suitable for different industries? Is it possible for businesses to thrive and grow whilst simultaneously playing a role in tackling global issues such as climate change, income inequality, or social justice? This course will examine what shapes the relationships between business, environment, and society, and ask how individuals and organisations can address social and environmental problems most effectively.
