All Things ASE
An introduction to our new blog.
Hello, Everyone!
When we put together the latest edition of the ASE Alumni News last December, it struck us that it contained a lot of great content from our alums, faculty friends, and staff that would be of wider interest to our partners in the US, prospective students, and perhaps their parents. We’re also aware that most of us have over-stuffed inboxes and that good things can easily get overlooked!
We’ve decided that the best way to (re)share these great articles - which include reflections on different aspects of the programme, introductions and farewells from the ASE staff, and fascinating content connected to our courses - was to release them in blog form.
So here we are!
Our aim is to publish a piece every couple of months, sharing different ASE voices, showcasing different aspects of the Programme, and offering a deeper dive into what ASE is all about, and into the lives and loves of our alums, staff and faculty.
We’re also keen to hear from our readers, and would love to read your comments and feedback on the articles we post.
To start you off, and since we are about to welcome the arrival of the faculty and students of Summer '23, we are pleased to present a piece by one of last year's summer professors, Skidmore's John Brueggemann, reflecting on his experience of teaching his course Food for the Future: The Sustainable Food Movement in the UK.
So grab a cup of tea, put your feet up and have a read of the first of 'All Things ASE'.
Happy reading!
