The Environmental Economics course provides insights into how economic concepts directly impact the natural environment, from the development of international policies to the vast ramifications of single individuals’ choices.
The course is structured around lectures which introduce the key concepts, methods and valuation techniques used in environmental economics, and discussion seminars where we apply these to real-world challenges, such as sustainability, climate change, resource management, green infrastructure, and social responsibility.
Case studies are incorporated into the course from around the world as well as from nearby, as the West of England is well known for its many projects aimed at transitioning to a low carbon economy.
